Winter is coming! But before then, it's time for fall colors, game stew and good wines. Vinbanken and Trente Mølle invite you to a real autumn event on 15/10 from 3pm to 6pm. We start with a walk in the forest at Trente Mølle, where the nature guide tells us about autumn in nature, which is put in the bank until next spring and closes down for the winter. Back by the fire at Trente Mølle, we prepare together a delicious meal with seasonal ingredients and game. Autumn food belongs to red wine. That's why Vinbanken Faaborg comes by with three tastings of wines that match the menu. Finally, there is an opportunity to make a good deal and buy the introduced wines home with you.

Island Hop in Hiking Shoesby Avernakø Landhotel
*Experience two islands in one trip in the South Funen Archipelago, Avernakø and Lyø. We take care of everything from ferry tickets and luggage transfers to accommodation and food. Here you get the chance to experience part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. * \ - The Program Day 1: The tour starts in Faaborg at 9:45 a.m. On Kanalvej 13, the island ferry is waiting for you, departing at 10:00. The first stop is Lyø where the ferry runs until 10:40am. When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you need to put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel. On Lyø there are 4 hours to explore this beautiful island. You must bring packed lunches here, as the eateries on the island are closed outside the summer season. However, you can stay up to date on the opening hours of Café Lyø here. The ferry departs from Lyø to Avernakø at 14:40. From Avernakø Harbour there is a trip of 1.5 km. to the hotel, where we are waiting with your luggage and a room. At 16:00 there is a welcome with coffee and cake. Maybe the energy is for an evening walk after the meal or maybe the beautiful nature of Avernakou will have to wait until day 2. Day 2 you lubricate packed lunches in conjunction with breakfast and on the trip there are many good and obvious places to enjoy it. Among other things, Madpakkehuset on Skallevejen. You leave your luggage at the hotel and then we transport it down to the ferry before departure. Bonfire, NADA and Full Moonby Visit Faaborg
Come and experience the full moon by the fire in Findstrup Dal, where Hanne Pedersen from Naturkompasset offers NADA ear acupuncture. We gather around the campfire, where I serve a cup of NADA detox tea, which, along with the acupuncture, aims to provide calm. NADA is a recognized balance-creating acupuncture that the Chinese have been using for more than 1000 years. NADA is standardized methodology and aims to complement treatment in recovery, stress, addiction, and mental health conditions. Bring warm clothes and a blanket, there are benches with reindeer skins and the possibility to lie on your own blanket or sleeping mat. Please also bring a headlamp. On Avernakø you can easily get around with a rental bike, so that you can get to see the May trees, drive around Skallevej, see Avernakø church, Drejet, Korshavn Bridge and the amazing view from Revkrogen. We have classic Danish lunch dishes and cold beer/water in the fridge. UNESCO Global Geopark The South Funen Island Sea is a geological gem and was shaped during the last ice age when huge glaciers retreated as temperatures rose. Avernakø is about 8 km long and has just under 20 km of coastline, which can be the setting for some very beautiful nature experiences. The elongated shape of the island means that you have sea views almost wherever you go. It's easy to stop and enjoy one of the many great beaches. The bird life is diverse on Avernakø. Avernakø is home to Europe's largest concentration of bell frogs, and in order to provide them with the best possible conditions, former watering holes have been re-established. It provides good conditions for bird life.

We organize New Year's Eve for guests with dogs who do not want a party and fireworks, but rather a cozy New Year's stay with a happy and relaxed dog. We are going to embrace the Danish winter atmosphere with all that it offers. * \ - Day 1 10:00am: The island ferry departs from Kanalvej 13, Faaborg. Ferry tickets are sent to you in advance. On the ferry you can buy coffee, hot cocoa and soft drinks, which are enjoyed with the beautiful view of the South Funen Archipelago. 11:20am: Arrival at Avernakø harbour. From here, the walk takes a beautiful route (1.3 km) up to the hotel. 12:15pm: Lunchtime! Enjoy a delicious lunch with free choice between Star Shot and Pariserbauf. Our most popular dishes. There is, of course, a vegetarian/vegan alternative. 1:00pm: We invite on a guided winter walk where together we walk “Skallevejen around,” a popular 4.3 km walk with tales of the island's nature, culture and history. Then you can choose to explore the island on your own — on foot, by bike (can be rented) or in your own car. We recommend a trip over “Drejet” or around Hovedsjön, and you will be given a map of the island. After dark we have fun indoors with board games, mulled wine & apple slices or coffee & cake. 6:30: Dinner is served as the dish of the day in platter serving. The menu varies, but Danish food made from scratch with love is always offered. There are, of course, both vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Day 2 7:00 A.M. TO 9:00 AM: Breakfast buffet with a selection of homemade treats, coffee, tea and other goodies. 9.30: For those interested, we offer a walk around to greet the Landhotell animals and watch them being fed. Meet our rabbits, goats, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs, and budgies. 10.00-12.00: The morning offers “free play,” where you can enjoy whatever you want most. We will of course do our best to accommodate your wishes. Perhaps you need to explore parts of Avernakø, such as The Church or the Bird Tower on Oddevej? 12:00pm: Breakfast is served. But Faaborg area is more than Funen's hollyhock. Because when May is at its peak, Lilac Land unfolds with a landscape that smells of spring and is swathed in shades of purple. \ On this 2-day tour of South Funen you will visit Syrenlandet and not least Geopark The South Funen Archipelago. With Arreskov lake, Håstrup Mountains and Hell's Cave, among others. \ \ This is an easy hike. You can walk many hours every day, but there is room to take several breaks along the way so that everyone can join — both those who walk fast and those who take the time. There is full catering and good beds along the way. \ \ DAY 1 (May 13)//Welcome to Syrenland\ Venue Faaborg at 09:00\ From the meeting point at the port in Faaborg — there is a shared transport to Håstrup, from where our hike begins. \ Håstrup is popularly called Denmark's only mountain town — located in the middle of the South Funen mountain range. \ \ From Håstrup the tour goes over the Håstrup mountains and we climb the viewpoints Dronningeten and Trebjerg. \ We enjoy lunch at Trente Mølle. \ Now we are in the center of the Syrenland. It is in the area around Ny Stenderup and Gl. Stenderup that we will be surrounded by lilac fences and the heavy scent. \ We cross the road and walk north and east of Arreskov Lake, and come on the way to Corinth, passing Arreskov Castle, among other places. There's almost a state guarantee to experience sea eagles On the stretch. \ Today's walk ends in Corinth. In Corinth we will be accommodated in the newly renovated part of the Corinth Inn. From its eastern shore emanates the Odense Å. Further over Sollerup Enge, where there are the remains of a rampart from the early Middle Ages. We follow Rislebækken into Sollerup forest going directly into Helvedes Hule, into a deep and beautiful gorge, zoned for untouched forest. \ From here we go through Svanninge Bjerge and climb Lerbjerg (the fourth highest point in Funen, 126 m above sea level) From here you have a great view of much of the archipelago. \ The area abounds with nature and cultural history that will be told. How did Arreskov Lake come to be, what was hidden in the hellhole and why does Lerbjerg ever shake? \ We are now onto the Øhavstien trail which we follow south over the Sundbakkerne hills with the amazing view of Faaborg and the Archipelago that meets us. For the Ascension it is Geopark days. At this time of year, nature is perhaps at its most abundant. And that's what we're going to experience. The tour starts at Bittenhus (Nakkebølefjord) and goes from here in glass canoes (they are just transparent) towards Svelmø. From the canoes we can observe life both above and below the water and along the way tell Trente Mølle's nature guide about the place, nature and culture. Once at Svelmø we pick up and prepare a delicious meal of the beach's herbs, we catch crabs for beach crab bisque and who knows, maybe we'll be lucky enough to be able to add a hornfish to the menu.
