The lecturer isThomas Noe Rafn, museum manager and exhibition designer at Museum Silkeborg. Prior to his time in the museum world, he worked for 30 years in the advertising industry as an Art Director and concept developer.
For over 20 years he has furthermore disseminated the history of the Roman Empire as a centurion in the Reenactment groupLegio VI Victrix. Reenactment differs from role-playing games by relying solely on historical sources, archaeology, and documented facts.
Thomas Noe Rafn is also the author of:
· The Way of Horus (2021), which examines the narrative of Moses and the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt as seen from Egyptian and other non-biblical sources.
The Rooster, the Eagle and the Raven (2025), about the Iron Age of Europe and Denmark — from the end of the Bronze Age to the introduction of Christianity. A significant part of this history ties into the Roman Empire.
